King Of Ads






Flicking through a magazine yesterday, it occurred to me that it is all too easy to get advertising campaigns completely wrong. As in so wrong that it hurts your eyes to gaze upon a garish page of hideousness. Surely it can't be that hard to get it right? Anyone who's struggling should turn to Marc Jacobs and his incredibly simplictic, chic and effortlessly cool campaigns. The winning factor throughout is that each ad feels the same. The brand is disclosed to you so softly that you don't even notice the 'pushing' of it. Surely this must be the pinnacle aspiration for any advertiser. But forget all the above, how much do you want to be Sofia Coppola lounging around in that Italian feeling pool...
