Double Decker

Shirt: Vintage M&S
Trousers: Originally Zara found in charity shop on Fulham Road.

Are you brave enough to wear print...twice?

The A/W 2011 campaign for Chloe (as I blogged about previously) depicts sheer snakeskin in rusts, golds, stones and turquoises and as is the way with the fashion big dogs, now, my all time favorite animal print is bursting out of the British High Street as though there were real serpents in there... I'm not complaining however. I blooming well love the stuff. So much so that I have toyed with a double entendre. It takes two bab-ay-ayyyyyyy. You and you.

In my closet...

Charity shop find

Topshop TUX LUX snakeskin turnups

Another charity shop sheer snakeskin shirt

Rummaging through my designated snake skin drawer (joke-obviously-that would be ri-dic-oooolas) I picked out these three numbers. Top and bottom were charity shop finds and the middle was from a TOPSHOP sale a few years ago. So glad I hung onto them as the trousers were a steal at £7 and they fit in a cigarette-pant style, low slung and great with a plain grey t-shirt and black sandals. Which reminds me...I have found the most AMAZING pair of sandals. Not even sure if I want to share them but I will....okay I definitely will. Next post!

Snakeskin is going to be HUGE, HUUUUUUUUUUUGE next season. And have you ever thought just how well those cracked and mottled beiges, blacks and greens go with the falling Autumn leaves? It is the perfect fashion match 'laid' in heaven...I have always had a love affair with snakeskin. Ever since I first started scouting out old ladies left overs in Reading's picturesque charity shops. Now I have drawers and drawers of ill fitting, itch-making snake skin attire which I REFUSE to chuck away. It's very good for mid season dressing as the tones compliment both thick winter ware as well as light summer, denim and white. Yessssss sssssnakeskin issss in sssssssssssssssssssssssssss x
