Easy Ethereal

Valentino skirt: Deuxieme
Susie Gallagher Skirt: Deuxieme
Leopard skin/snake skin Vintage M&S shirt: Charity shop

Float like an angel AND stay toasty...
Just because it's getting colder outside does NOT mean you have to put your sheers away. Oh no. Layer floaty, ethereal, see through, mermaid-like skirts with woolen tights and chunky knits (even wooly socks and biker boots) to get a look straight off the Alexander Wang A/W 2011 catwalk. Oh how I pine for a pale pink silk skirt to rock the look even more... See below.

Double Decker

Shirt: Vintage M&S
Trousers: Originally Zara found in charity shop on Fulham Road.

Are you brave enough to wear print...twice?

The A/W 2011 campaign for Chloe (as I blogged about previously) depicts sheer snakeskin in rusts, golds, stones and turquoises and as is the way with the fashion big dogs, now, my all time favorite animal print is bursting out of the British High Street as though there were real serpents in there... I'm not complaining however. I blooming well love the stuff. So much so that I have toyed with a double entendre. It takes two bab-ay-ayyyyyyy. You and you.

Uniqlo merino cashmere mix poloneck

Zara red waxed trousers

Cheap monday suede boots

Browsing through the Sunday supplements today (my weekend ritual) got me old ticker going. They are so darn good. Especially STYLE-what a mag! Reds, burnt oranges, suede's and cashmere are splattered all over their glossy pages at the moment. Here are some of my faves from all over the net...

All Wrapped Up In This

I don't quite know how to handle this addiction.

This all-consuming, all-devouring, wooly addiction.

In the past (i'd say...) three weeks I have become OBSESSED, absolutely, ridiculously, unashamedly OBSESSED with knitwear. Nothing can stop my lust. Nothing can contain my desire to hike them high over my head and feel their fluffy-goodness descend all over me. I will be wearing chunky knits, waffle knits, holey knits and mohair with leather shorts galore this Autumn. The best part about this look is that (aside from the absolute gold dust on the British high street ***Zara & New Look are tops bytheby ****) you can pick up all the looks and styles above by searching second hand and charity shops. Trust me, I should know. So get scrambling. I don't want to see you in anything else. No sir-ey.

SnAkEsKin

Images sourced from fashion gone rogue

Snakeskin is going to be HUGE, HUUUUUUUUUUUGE next season. And have you ever thought just how well those cracked and mottled beiges, blacks and greens go with the falling Autumn leaves? It is the perfect fashion match 'laid' in heaven...I have always had a love affair with snakeskin. Ever since I first started scouting out old ladies left overs in Reading's picturesque charity shops. Now I have drawers and drawers of ill fitting, itch-making snake skin attire which I REFUSE to chuck away. It's very good for mid season dressing as the tones compliment both thick winter ware as well as light summer, denim and white. Yessssss sssssnakeskin issss in sssssssssssssssssssssssssss x

Today I have been researching A/W 2011 trends for upcoming projects. Quite ill-timed considering the visible heat waves that are making the view from the sitting room window wobbly. Still, there is something about next seasons collections that always seem infinately cooler than the one we are presently in. I've scoured style.com and the above are my winning looks for the next season. In particular, Riccardo Tisci for Givenchy dreamt up an exquisite world of sheer, silk and intricate printing which leaves one breathless. Valentino and Alexander Wang offer the casual luxe look which I shall most definately be wearing as soon as the weather cools down. Silk, lace or sheer skirts teamed with soft mohair or this navy cashmere. Yes Please. All photos from style.com.
